Gran Turismo is one of those staple franchises that is able to keep outdoing itself with each previous rendition of the game. To ensure that this won’t be just another pretty looking racing sim, Polyphony Digital have partnered up with BBC Worldwide to not only offer downloads for episodes of “Top Gear” from the Playstation Network, but will also allow gamers to play on the test track used on the show. For now however, enjoy the $43 demo until a release date is finally settled (available for 3 weeks only, so get it now).

Notice the header image for this post not having anything to do with Top Gear? Well that is because it is from a set of comparison pictures going around from the Suzuka Circuit, showing how detailed this game is coming along, check the full picture set below for all comparisons, if the pictures didn’t have the HUD on screen, I would find it difficult to believe you’d be able to find the difference.

Gran Turismo 5, Top Gear, BBC Worldwide

You know, the first time I played Soldier of Fortune, I was about sixteen. I don’t remember much about the story, and I didn’t particularly care for online play. All I really remember is that I thought being able to blow off limbs with a shotgun was really cool. Sure, that feature was considered controversial, and stirred up a lot of negative buzz for the franchise, but people still bought the game.

In droves.

That would explain why Activision has finally gotten around to releasing some new screenshots of the next entry in the franchise, Soldier of Fortune 3: Pay Back.

Check these brand new Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles screenshots out that have been released straight from Capcom. With the obvious exception of the FPS control scheme where you use the Wiimote to aim and shoot, it looks like it may play a lot like the older, pre-RE4 games.

At least menu wise, in any case.

I’m bored and can’t sleep. So, because I’m bored and can’t sleep I’m going to talk a bit about one of my favorite things: Star Trek.

There have been roughly fifty Star Trek games over the years, ranging from First-Person Shooters, to Real-Time Strategy’s, to the more “out there” games that include trivia games and a virtual encyclopedia.

That’s right, Trek did Wikipedia before Wikipedia did Wikipedia.

However, if the new Wii offering from Bethesda is any indication, it doesn’t appear that there will be a good Trek game anytime soon. I have infinite faith in Bethesda as a developer, but not in Trek as a gaming license. Outside the ingenious MMO idea that took someone nearly a decade to go “Hmm, Everquest needs more Klingons”, there really hasn’t even been a good idea for a Trek game since the original Elite Force title.

Conquest isn’t looking to break that mold, as these new screenshots show.

Capcom has released a bevy of new screenshots for Devil May Cry 4, that will be coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. I’m sure most of you guys are going to click on the images of Trish and Lady, so I won’t bother pointing them out. I’ll just let you guys have a look for yourselves.
