Capcom Looks at the Bright Side of Life
Thursday, March 5th, 2009
So Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li has performed absimal at the box office so far. Along with it’s poor performance, critics have (not surprisingly) bashed the hell out of it. That isn’t going to stop Capcom though! Not only are they going to be more heavily involved in making movies, in fact they’ve got Onimusha, Clock Tower, and Lost Planet movies in production as well as a few others that are being talked about.
As far as Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li is concerned, they are putting on the public face that the poor performance and panning by critics isn’t necessarily bad news. In fact, they argue that the first Street Fighter film that is about as close to cinematic crap as you can get is still making them a ton of money. As long as the money keeps flowing, they really don’t care what people thing. Good for them! I guess?
