Ninja Gaiden Sigma Demo Available On PSNetwork

by

The title pretty much sums it up folks. Basically if you’ve got a PS3 in the room, for the love of god turn it on and start downloading Ninja Gaiden Sigma and enjoy the 1080p / 60fps goodness. But don’t close your browser when you do it, you might miss some good stuff if you do.

Originally, we were led to believe that the demo was supposed to arrive on the 27th, so this is a pleasant surprise. And this isn’t your typical “plop down onto a level and fight” demo, expect to be able to unlock weapons and other additional content within the demo.

Before I downloaded this demo last night I read the little synopsis giving me a little background into this NEW games plot.

A ninja (Ryu) comes home to his village only to find it has been attacked by a clan of rival ninjas and the Dark Dragon Sword has been stolen.

Wierd, that sounds like the Ninja Gaiden game that came out years ago for the XBOX.

So I click the button to down load it and install it this morning and IT IS THE GAME I HAD FOR THE XBOX! Sure, the graphics are way sharper but why remake a game? Hasn’t this game had a sequel since?

I like nice graphics but I’m not going to buy a game I’ve already played through for them.

“Hasn’t this game had a sequel since?”

Actually it wasn’t a sequel, Ninja Gaiden Black was more like some extra levels and some new weapons, but all in all, it was basically still the same game. And Sigma is pretty much the same game as well, with a lot of improvements. Even so, Ninja Gaiden is by far one the finest, most polished games I have ever played. For the XBox, IMHO, it had the best graphics of any game. Team Ninja really knows how to push a console to its limits.

Yes, this is the remake, that never came out for XBOX. Did you read it before? It’s the same game, remake!!!

Prolly looks more like Ninja Gaiden Black… all the final content… I don’t have neaither a PS3 or NGBlack, but I do ahve the original one and the screenshots from the PS3 Demo are the same game, if you play Ninja Gaiden you would have recognize them…. same stages, bosses and such.

  4. Thr3e2wenty8 Says:

    Again, why remake a game?
The XBOX one was a more elaborite re-telling of the ORIGINAL Ninja Gaiden from the NES which was a poor mans version of the arcade game back in the day. So this (Sigma) is a Second Generation re-make.

    Get a new story please!

Yes seriously, crispy new graphics isn’t everything to a game, and I thought game developers knew this by now. Crisp graphics is no longer a hot feature, it’s a defacto, and what really sells is the game play.

I played the first version on xbox, and unless its a whole new game, I wouldn’t bother playing it again. Maybe just the demo for the “wow” effect. But that itself doesn’t warrant dumping so much time to replay it.

  6. Motorcycle Guy Says:

Even though people are saying its basically the same. I do wish I had a ps3 to try it out.
