Where do You Buy Your Games?
IGN readers have voted and Wal-Mart is the number one retail store where they purchase their games.
Second on the list was Best Buy where I currently purchase my new games. After purchasing a 48″ HDTV and entertainment center, I got bumped up into the Reward Zone black card holder club thingy which gives me a lot of points back on my purchases. This thing only lasts a year before I have to drop another ton of money to renew it and since that isn’t going to happen (i.e. I’m poor), then I have to take advantage of it while I can.
For used games, I go to Gamestop occasionally, but I’ve never liked that store. My used game locations are in Green Bay and Appleton Wisconsin, home of some of the best locally owned used games stores on the planet. The problem is I live in California, so my used game purchases are few and far between.
I don’t usually buy games from Wal-Mart unless there’s some sort of significant discount in the deal. I feel stupid having to get a game out of a case like I’m some baby that can’t handle the game myself. I realize that they do this because they don’t invest in the plastic cases that wrap around each game individually. Still, I like the freedom of being able to bring a box to the cashier myself. I like being trusted.
Where do you buy most of your games and why?
