What are Your Favorite Types of Games and Why?

I recently had a job interview for a temp job. The agency asked me a lot of video game related questions including, “What are you favorite types of games and why?” It put my off a little, because I never really thought about the “why” I like certain types of games before. I just do.

My answers went something like this: I like first person shooters because of the fast action and I love co-op. There are a few really good first person shooters that have excellent co-op that allow you to work closely with your friends to overcome obstacles. I also enjoy playing turn based strategy games, because I like to problem solve and use well thought out strategy.

I have no idea if my answers are “correct” or not, but they are both true and I think they reflect skills that directly relate to job functions.

Anyone else have any answers?
