What About Me?
So over the holidays I’ve noticed a disturbing trend. None of my friends are playing Xbox Live or are on their PS3s, so I’ve got nobody to play with online other than complete strangers. What gives, people? I realize that you may have “family” and “friends” to visit and spread holiday cheer to, but what about me? While you’re out selfishly hanging out in social gatherings stuffing your face with holiday treats I’m out in the virtual cold with nobody to care about me.
Look, I’m willing to forgive your lax attitude towards my well being. With the coming of the new year it’s time to forgive and forget and start anew. I’m making the sacrifice of forgiving your many transgressions. Once you have realized how you’ve wronged me though, hopefully you’ll come to your senses and cancel your Christmas plans for the most important person in your life.
And yes, I realize that I may call you names while we play games. I may laugh at you when you accidentally jump to your death in Halo or a Boomer totally rapes you on Gears of War 2. You might get mad when I constantly question your sexuality because you don’t know how to use a sniper rifle. I also realize that constantly shooting you with a rocket launcher when we are on the same team isn’t funny 100% of the time. I just do those things because I care about you.
So how about showing me some respect and getting on your console when you get home and playing some Resistance 2 with me?
