Video Game Stars As Balloons
I really wish I could be playing games right now, but my wife has taken over the television/gaming central because it is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Granted I like the balloons, but there’s way too much singing for me to watch it. So here I sit on Thanksgiving typing on my computer while she hogs up the TV. All is not a loss however, here’s a few game related balloons to save us all a whole lot of time:
Pikachu was the big break out star from the Pokemon series and for good reason, he’s adorable. It’s no wonder that he’s one of the few gaming icons to make it into balloon form.
Sonic the Hedgehog used to be really popular as hard to believe as that is. At one time Sega actually cared about their mascot and put him in good games. I miss those days.
Yeah, I know Spider-Man isn’t a video game character. He’s been in almost five billion video games, so get over it. He’s also one of the best Macy’s Thanksgiving day balloon
Again, Superman isn’t from video games, but he’s been in a lot of them. What’s funny or sad is that I think Spider-Man has been in a lot more games that don’t suck. In the history of video gaming, I can’t think of a character that has been more abused in game titles than Superman. Superman 64 is often regarded as the worst video game of all time, while many of his other game appearances aren’t much better. Thankfully, MK vs. DC isn’t completely terrible. Maybe it will help break the streak.
It’s amazing that there hasn’t been a Mario balloon, but maybe I missed it. If I did, let me know.
