Sonic & The Secret Rings: Nintendo Wii Exclusive Release

Sonic, the little guy who gave Mario a run for his money through most of the 1990s is coming to the Wii in a new game exclusively licensed by Nintendo. Sonic & the Secret Rings should be an interesting game that takes advantage of the Wii controller. Not much has changed with the story or plot surrounding Sonic, but his games continue to provide enjoyment for gamers of all ages. I look forward to checking out the title when it is released on February 22nd. The MSRP for the game is $59.99.
IGN describes the new game: “Sonic brings his trademark speed and attitude to the Nintendo Wii. The story begins with Sonic turning the pages of the classic book, “Arabian Nights”. Suddenly, he is visited by the tale’s central character, the Genie, who reveals that the last several pages of the book have mysteriously gone blank. This mystical being grants Sonic the ability to travel into the book’s world. Armed with his signature speed, Sonic sets off on an adventure to retrieve the missing pages, and set the world of the Arabian Nights back in order. Mimicking the energy and movements of Sonic, players actively perform specialized moves with the Wii controller, bringing their stamina and wide range of motion into the action!”
This should definitely be an interesting title to pick up. It’s been a long time since the original Sonic The Hedgehog came out and he still appears to be going strong as ever, but now for the team he was once against.
