Samba de Amigo Wii Bound

Way back on the Sega Dreamcast (most underrated console ever), there was a little-known but highly-regarded title called Samba de Amigo. It was a cute little game where you played the maracas or something, I don’t know. I was too busy playing Soul Calibur, Seaman and Shenmue. Well, my Wii faithful out there, rejoice. Samba de Amigo is headed to the Nintendo Wii.
According to Nintendo Power (which, really, is an extension of Nintendo), Samba de Amigo will be making it’s way to the Nintendo Wii… as I just said. While no release date has been announced, all indications point to this next installment of the series to be an entirely new game, not just a Dreamcast port. Naturally, the controls will have you using the Wiimote and nunchuk as your maracas.
One thing I didn’t notice until recently is that the developer of Samba de Amigo, Gearbox Software, is the same developer who’s brought the Brothers in Arms franchise, as well as ports of Halo, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and Counter-Strike to the PC, and Half-Life to the PS2.
