Rockstar Releases An Ad That Counts Down To The Release Of An Ad
That’s pretty much what this ad was which was spotted late night on FX. As you can see from the 2 minute or so clip, it’s just a countdown. No, seriously, watch it. It just counts down. Why Rockstar would release a 30 minute “infomercial” that just counts down to the release of the upcoming GTA IV trailer is beyond me, but I think the Rockstar boys have a little too much time on their hands.
And a reminder to you all, the trailer is set to be released this week, so stay tuned as this week will be a very interesting one.
Microsoft, Xbox 360, Sony, PS3, Playstation 3, Grand Theft Auto, IV, GTA

Or cause they’re stopping that idiot lawyer in Florida from wasting any more of their time! The guy’s trying to stop the new Manhunt & GTA IV. Good thing he’s not trying to stop NBA 2K8, I’d go nuts.

Wow just looking at the timer makes me wanna play the game even more…..After a while the timer is annoying.

This game better rock if they (Rockstar) are going to set a timer for a commercial. I just hope that this game can live up to the hype!

You know what would suck….If the whole trailer counter thing is actually better than the game. Companies know how to promote the S#$% out of something but they don’t know how to follow through.

Has the hype machine gone to far? A countdown to a TEASER? Are they serious?
March 26th, 2007 at 10:23 am
Problem is, That could’ve been the actual gameplay and it would still sell 1 Million+. But in my book it better be worth the Hype and not turn out like something Sony would do.

Hype is the killer. Did it to the PS3 and very well likely will do it to Halo 3.
March 27th, 2007 at 2:26 pm
@Seb656 Did it to 300 too! …for me atleast. Anywho, this is like that one senator who called together a press conference then announced he’ll be making an announcement later in the year whether he’s running for president or not. LOLOL.

I hope it’s a good game. The problem they have to realize is that GTA has been sooooo done at this point. Between Saint’s Row, and the godfather, and others… They will really have to up the ante in order to make this one original.

So… Interesting… Can’t stop… watching…
