Quake Arena DS Bound

Frehcn website Wiiz is reporting that id Software has confirmed the development of a Quake game on the Nintendo DS. While not too much has been said, the article states that Carmack has promised the DS version of Quake Arena will utilize the DS in such a way that it will maximize the unique functionality of the handheld.

Quake on the DS. Sounds good, but let’s keep in mind some of the other FPS titles to make the leap to the dual-screened juggernaut: GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, Brothers in Arms DS, King Kong, even Call of Duty 4 wasn’t mind blowing on the DS. So while I’ll hold out hope for Quake on the DS, my expectations won’t be particularly high.

On the other hand, expectations remain high for the Xbox LIVE Quake Arena.
