“Our intro alone costs more than a DS Game” - Metal Gear Solid 4

by

Ryan Payton, assistant producer of Kojima Productions, was featured on Game Head with the video posted just yesterday on GameTrailers. Through the short interview some new information about Metal Gear Solid 4 was given, starting off was the locations that the game will take place. In order, the game will start out in Middle East, then to South America, Eastern Europe, and finally two More Locations Not Named Yet (will be on Earth though, no Super Guns of the Patriots Galaxy here)

Ryan also touches on the intro for the game, not calling it ‘interactive’ per se, however he says it isn’t something you just sit and watch then press a button at the end to start playing, I wish I knew exactly what that means, can’t wait to find out. The team was working with Logan design studio (does BMW and Ipod commercials) to shoot live action portions, also mixing it 2D and CGI all for the intro. I like his comment on the cost of the opening itself, which is more than some PSP and DS games as a whole, feel free to use this as fuel for the MGS4 360 rumors, as there is no way Konami will make their money back on this game on one system alone.

Check the full video below for the above information plus some clips of Metal Gear in action:
