My Fugging XBox 360 Broke Part III (Maybe)

I know you really don’t care, but I do. After having my Xbox 360 RRoD on me once and then having the hard drive fail shortly thereafter, I might be having problems with the unit once again. This time I’m trying to play through Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga and on a certain level it just freezes for no reason at a random moment. I’d think it was an issue with that particular title, but when I was playing Call of Duty 4 I started getting these bizarre error messages saying the disc was unreadable out of the blue.
My feeling is that the 360 is going to crap out eventually again. Problems like this don’t tend to get magically better. I know haters, you’re right for saying that the machine (at least the original) is garbage. I would say to hell with it and play my PS3 exclusively if I didn’t like a lot of the better aspects of the 360. Well that and all my friends are on Live and don’t own PS3s… Anyway, I can understand that they made a mistake with the hardware, but how is fixing something that will just break anyway actually fixing an issue? Doesn’t it cost more money in the long run to have to repair the same machines and keep building up bad will with your customer base (especially with the kinds of stories like mine all over the internet)? The next generation of console wars is going to be a tough uphill battle for Microsoft with the kind of reputation they have now. I know I’m going to be a lot more apprehensive about buying their next system compared to the next PS4 or whatever Nintendo produces.
