More Online Details For Mario Strikers Charged Revealed

Yesterday we got word that Mario Strikers Charged was going to be a rare Wii title because it’ll have online multiplayer. Today, Nintendo revealed some more information on how the online multiplayer Mario Strikers Charged will work.
First of all, if there are two players on a local Wii, they can both go online and take on 2 opponents online via the Nintendo Wi-Fi network.
The other bit of information pertained to who you can play online. Gamers should expect “friend codes” to be used, as it’s been previously stated, as well as expect the ability to play random opponents. The random matches will be region locked meaning players won’t play opponents located in the UK or Australia, but, if you have their friend code, then you’d be able to play them with no problem at all.

So how long until we get some online in the US?

Awesome news, as long as they have random matches, people can add friends and not worry about the friend codes too much (though they are still teh retarded).
As far as the region lock, interesting choice to do, but, at the least, should help keep lag down.

The problem is that it’s mario strikers. It looks identical to the gamecube version. I think the best two words to describe the gamecube version were “shallow” and “tedious” but that might just be me.

That’s why you need to get started exchanging your wii friend code. Many forums and sites like http://mapwii.com let you do just that.
