Mass Effect Gets A Massive Delay[Update]

If you thought you were going to have a great summer thanks to the combination of Bioshock, Blue Dragon and Mass Effect being released, you better sit down.
According to a Microsoft Press event earlier this morning, Mass Effect has been delayed…until September. Going from a suggested “June-ish” release date to September is a really big deal. A month or two delay, fine. But it’s been delayed to a completely new season.
No other information has been released as of now concerning the reason for the delay, but it better be a damn good reason.
[UPDATE: From Joystiq.com, "Update: "We have not made any official announcements regarding release timing for Mass Effect," adds Microsoft. "At this time, any information about the game's release date is purely rumor and speculation."

Well ain’t that a kick in the ole testes. But I’d rather wait longer for a finished game than get a half-assed one now.
