Lost Planet Already Sells 1M Copies

Who would have thought Capcom’s Lost Planet would have sold 1 million copies already? I guess it helps to do a world-wide launch afterall. And I’m also sure the demos had something to do with this as well. Which goes to show that all companies have to do to increase their sales is release perfectly timed demos.

Fisco has stated that the game, made by Capcom, has sold over 1.040.000 copies in the US and Europe together, and has therefore reached the one million limit in no-time.

Congratulations to Capcom on another successful game. I’ll be getting my “Lost Planet” on later tonight. If you happened to pick up a copy today and you want to play some multi-player, shoot me a friend request and you might just be lucky enough to be invited to my game tonight.

Good to hear it sold a million already.Played the demo on Marketplace.Looks like it could be a real good game.2007 looks like a damn good year for 360 games.

  3. Tim Says:

I think that this story confuses “Shipped” Copies with “Sold” Copies. Eg Sony has shipped 1 million PS3 but only sold about 640 000

  4. 1P Start » Blog Archive » Sony Loses Devil May Cry 4? Says:

[...] Capcom has been making a killing on the Xbox 360 with both Dead Rising and Lost Planet. They probably see the huge potential of bringing a big franchise like Devil May Cry over to the Xbox 360. But make sure to keep in mind that as of this moment this is simply a rumor, but it’s a rumor that kind of makes sense. [...]
