Ken Kutaragi retirement now official
Ken Kutaragi, former chairman and CEO of the Sony Play Station brand appears to have officially stepped down from his duties at Sony. The “father of play station” as Ken was dubbed after having led the initial project (which in turn led to Playstation having it’s own division ultimately), had announced his retirement a while back in April, of course, but the change is effective starting today.

The man appears to have no regrets about retirement, and seems to be looking forward to new challenges. “I am happy to graduate from Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. after introducing four platforms to the PlayStation family,” said Kutaragi in April. “It has been an exciting experience to change the world of computer entertainment by marrying cutting edge technologies with creative minds from all over the world. I’m looking forward to building on this vision in my next endeavors.”
So, what is in store for Kutaragi? It is unclear if Kutaragi will have any direct influence over Playstation’s future, despite retaining an advisory post within the gaming unit at Sony. For a more in-depth look at Kuturagi’s bestm moments, check out the “Kuturagi’s latests hits article”.
