Halo 3 Beta Dated - May 16!

Bungie dropped the bomb and have finally informed the internets when the Halo 3 beta will be released. At 12AM PDT on May 16, the Halo 3 beta will officially be available for download. For those of you who bought Crackdown for the sole purpose of getting in the Halo 3 beta, that would be the time you’d remove the game from the shrink wrap and crack open the case for the very first time. As you’ll see, the “Halo 3 Beta” button will be active. The beta will run from May 16 up until June 6th at 11:59pm PDT.

I personally am not going to stay up to download the beta. I mean, staying up until 3am to download anything is pure insanity because by the time it’s done downloading and running, it’ll probably be 6am or so because I’m sure that the download speed might be slowed down a great deal due to everyone who owns a 360 will most likely be downloading at the same time. So I’ll be downloading the beta at the sane hour of 8 or 9am.

    Sweetness, I’m not real pumped for the beta but I’ll give it a go. I am psyched about Halo 3, I just want the retail game. But I agree, I won’t be stayin gup late fo rit. I’ll get it at around 6 p.m. when I get off work.
