Guitar Hero III Street Date Broken

BioShock. Halo 3. Now Guitar Hero III. Every big release goes through this problem, where one retailer doesn’t pull its head out its collective ass, and breaks a games street date simply because some nitwit in the back room sees a box with a game in it, and throws it on the shelves to keep them looking full.
Stop that!
According to XboxFamily, more than a few distributors are receiving complaints as Sears has apparently broken the release date for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. The above image seems like damning evidence, doesn’t it? When I called my local Sears to ask if the game was available on store shelves, the manager gave me the right answer: Not ’til Sunday.
Guitar Hero III is due for an October 28th release, which is this Sunday.

I saw a friend of mine from Indiana playing GH3 last Sunday night. I immediately jumped to ask him where he got it from and he informed me he picked it up from Sears. He had not seen anyone else online to play co-op, but had talked to people in the NYC area who also managed to snag an early copy at Sears.
