GTA Delayed

Well, if you haven’t heard the news already (and if you haven’t, that means 1pStart is probably your only video game news source and we sincerely thank you for that :)), Grand Theft Auto 4 has been officially delayed until Quarter 2 of next year.

Take-Two revealed the announcement today citing that, “certain elements of development proved to be more time-intensive than expected.” Aside from that, no solid reason was given for why the previously scheduled October release was abandoned.

This delay is definitely a rather large thorn in the side of Microsoft at this point, as GTA slipping to next year ruins Microsoft’s “hat trick” of Halo 3, Madden 08, and GTA 4 for this holiday season. Not like its really going to hurt them too much anyways, as Halo 3 is pretty much all they need to kick ass this holiday season.
