Get Your Gears of War Chainsaw Action On
Amazon.com has a pre-order up for Gears of War fans that may cause serious nerdgasms. For the low, low price of a hundred and thirty bucks, you could get your very own life size replica Lancer. The Lancer not only looks cool (and I mean that in the horrendously nerdy, only show this to your best friends who won’t judge you kind of cool), but it also has a removable clip, and the trigger makes the gun vibrate and make a chainsaw noise. To authenticate the play action of chainsawing an enemy in half, the side stock comes out like it does in the game, to give you that better slicing and dicing grip.
The Lancer comes with the standard edition of Gears of War 2, but for only ten dollars more you can upgrade the standard edition to limited edition. This most likely makes the Gears of War 2 Amazon Lancer pack the greatest video game release bundle ever. It pretty much craps on Halo 3’s small helmet edition and stomps on Bioshock’s Big Daddy action figure limited addition. Who needs a bunch of useless extra behind the scenes footage when you can get a super useless toy gun!?
In case you’re curious, the Lancer is made by NECA, the same company that is making the Gears of War action figures. If you haven’t seen them yet, they are pretty awesome.
