GDC ‘07: Pokemon Brings Online Multiplayer to Wii

Apparently online Wii play is no longer on hold for another year like we were all told by Nintendo. Pokemon multiplayer was revealed at GDC for the Wii and is schedule for release in the US on June 25.
The Pokemon game for Wii will also be the first title that allows you to connect your DS to the Wii. All functions are not known at this time, but in this particular game you will be able to upload characters from the upcoming DS title ‘Diamond and Pearl’ to the Wii version of Pokemon.

Man i dunno. If games like Gears of War, Lost Planet, Rainbow 6 are crazy online just imagine Pokemon Online. Whoa man that is a new level right there. You know there is going to be that one individual who has to “Catch Em’ All” and has every singe Pokemon to lvl. 99. I can already see some intese battles on the field as competitors leave the arena with theor tails between their legs…lol

I wish they would come out with an actual pokemon game for a next gen system. It’s nuts how they expect people to buy these games that are just extensions of the mobile versions.
