Gamefly Opens East Coast Distribution Center!

I use Gamefly not only because I like playing games without spending a ton of money, but it also helps with the blog. One thing that I haven’t been too happy about is the turnaround time. Well, now us east coasters are about to get some love. I just received an email from Gamefly notifying it’s users of it’s new east coast distribution center.
Starting next week, you may notice that the return address on your GameFly mailer will be Pittsburgh, PA. We’re pleased to open this new shipping location as part of our continued effort to improve mailing times for GameFly members across the entire United States.
Initially, we are launching this new distribution center for only a small subset of our members so we can complete our testing and training efforts. Over the next several weeks, we’ll broaden the reach of this new distribution center to more members.
Sweeeeet.

Sweet, I’m going to sign up now. The only reason I didn’t before is because I heard the return times for east coaster was pretty bad. But I live in Ohio so now this new one is pretty damn close. Thanks for the heads up!

What is this? A place that you can rent games from like Netflix?

Yes Randi. They are the video games version of Netflix.

Nice, I might sign up now. I didn’t want to before, like Dizzy above, because of the shipping times back and forth, but with a new facility in PA, it might be worth it.

[...] Rumor has it that GameFly has opened an East Coast distribution center. It’s odd because the reporting blogger received an e-mail making the announcement but there has been no official word from the company. This would be a big boost for East Coast delivery times which are typically double the West Coast. [...]

Did you know that you can get $5 dollars off the monthly fee for gamefly through brightspot.tv. All you have to do is watch commercials and answer a few questions. I’m doing this for my NBA AUDIO LEAGUE PASS Subscription. I just cleared my “rebate”. I’ll let everyone know if it works out.

[...] Looks like Gamefly is phasing in an east coast distribution center next week. Given my prior mail rental experiences with these guys, I’ll probably continue to pass. Davis recently gave them a second chance, though he tells me: “Hard to believe that their service has gotten worse.” Doh! Starting next week, you may notice that the return address on your GameFly mailer will be Pittsburgh, PA. We’re pleased to open this new shipping location as part of our continued effort to improve mailing times for GameFly members across the entire United States. [...]

[...] We made a post last month about a blogger receiving an e-mail from GameFly stating that an East Coast distribution center was being opened in Pittsburgh, PA, but there was no official word from the company. Now, an official press release is listed at their site. This is big for existing customers as well as rental prospects located on the East Coast. [...]

[...] called earlier this week. She informed me that service has improved and reminded me of their recently opened east coast distribution center (with more to come) in Pittsburgh, which should speed my deliveries. We agreed on a bloggable 90 [...]
