GAFtDoY: Batman Returns in Your Pants
Hey everyone! It’s time for another Game Ads from the Days of Yore! Try not to break anything from being so excited!
You know what’s fun? Being Batman is fun. He’s got all kinds of cool gadgets, a neat costume, a really sweet car, boat, jet, almost unlimited riches, and the ability to bang a bunch of hot super models. You know what’s not fun? LCD games. Before the time when Gameboys, Nintendo DS, or PSPs were as common as cat turds, hand held LCD games were about the only hand held game in town. While they were considered pretty cool back then, it was really because we didn’t know any better.
This commercial covers the Batman Returns LCD game and it’s no surprise that it only shows about three seconds of actual in-game footage. Instead we get the coolest kid in the ’90s and a hell of a lot of clips from Batman Returns.
As a side note, I think it’s amazing that they still make LCD games. They’re not as easy to find anymore, but they are still out there. You think that anyone that wanted a much improved hand held game could get one, especially since there’s so many used ones floating around. In fact, homeless people use the original non-color Gameboys to wash windshields and to provide heat during cold winter nights.
