Fully Functional Home Arcade

It makes me sad that arcades are all but dead in the United States. I drove around the other day to try and find one and couldn’t. I even checked out Wal Mart and stores that always had arcade games in the lobbies and those were gone too. Stinger has come out with an interesting device to help preserve the lost days of the arcade and bring it right to your home. It’s called the Stinger Plus. They also offer several other models and package deals.
The system is HDTV ready and includes a DVD drive where you can load up music or software. The system includes a huge bundle of arcade classics, laser disc games and Atari games. The following games are included with the system:

Pretty cool. Does it run MAME? Does it hook to a PC or Xbox or anything?

I think this would be awesome depending on the price for a person who is starting their own little game room. I’ve seen arcade machines though that have an insane amount of games in them, I guess that’d be the ultimate arcade machine and this would be a good starter kit.

Cool Idea, but they’ll want too much for it. Just grab your media PC, buy a couple joysticks for it, download MAME, and you are good to go.

yeah it does run MAME. It also looks like it has the right connections to hook it up to an Xbox or PC. Mazz… I don’t even want to know the price lol.

That… Is a ton of games… How much does it cost?

Rist, I emailed them for pricing, so will update it when I find out.

Wow that’s a huge list of games… WOW those are some nice games! Yeah Linda I see Mortal Kombat II on that list ;). Dragon’s Lair, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Joust… hahahaa oh man that’s a sweet list. All the really old classics and even some of the more recent classics (MK I through III). Damn as long as it’s under 5000 I’ll probably buy it.

I know its mega sweet. Just imagine having that as a conversation piece lol

That sounds awesome. I’d buy one of those. Nostalgia always gets me.

This is better as it is more versatile

You can make these a part of an arcade cabinet or connect them to almost any console.

I definitely need all of those in HD.
