Final Fantasy Tactics for PSP

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War is being released for Sony PSP. The game is basically the 10 year anniversary edition with expanded features. Those features include multiplayer modes, co-op modes and new cut-scenes.

The Japanese release will be on May 10th. There is no word yet on the U.S. release, but it is indeed coming to the U.S.

For those of you who remember the original Tactics, it was a great game and still fun. The game isn’t like the others in the series (definitely not the typical FF RPG), but it should be a good PSP title, particularly when nothing is being left out. PSP titles are very tricky at times, but this one is fairly straight forward and we should know exactly what to expect.

    Didn’t live up to the final fantasy standards? Really? The job system alone makes it break the top 5 best FF games ever.

    @Mazz: I think he meant it didn’t live to the grandeur that majority of Final Fantasy games are known for. I personally love Final Fantasy tactics and I’d be looking forward to this title if I owned a PSP. I mean, it’s going to have online multiplayer ;)

    Sweet. Maybe I’ll borrow my brother’s PSP to play it. Tactics was a good game, should be even better in widescreen and with a lot more features. Yummmmmmmmmm

    I have to agree that Tactics is one of the better FF of all time even though it wasn’t a flat out RPG like the rest.

    Speaking of FFT a friend of mine actually made a chess set with the characters from Final Fantasy tactics. I’ll see if I can take a picture of it so you can see how cool it looks.
