Fan Made Legend Of Zelda Movie

The Legend of Zelda: The Hero of Time is an upcoming fan made movie starring David Blane as Link, Hannah Freeman as Zelda, and Adam Boyer as Ganon. From what the trailer shows, it actually looks pretty good. The acting and CGI look alot better than some of the made for TV crap they show on the Sci-Fi network.
Here’s the synopsis of the film straight from their website:
The movie’s story is roughly based off that of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Link, who has been raised by the Kokiri, is sent to Hyrule City by the Great Deku Tree. Once there, he meets Princess Zelda who tells him what the Triforce symbol on his hand means and exactly who he is,
Meanwhile, Ganon has arranged a banquet for the king, but this gesture, seemingly in good faith, is just a part of his evil scheme. At the banquet, the king is poisoned, and Ganon overthrows the kingdom. Link flees to the Temple of Time and takes the Master Sword, but is shocked when he finds he has suddenly traveled into the future. Link discovers that it is a bleak future, for Ganon has destroyed the land, and so he sets out to find Zelda. Along the way he meets Sheik, and learns that he will need the help of the sages to defeat Ganon. After he defeats demons that are guarding the sages, Link returns to Hyrule where he confronts donzens of Gerudo warriors and ultimately fights Ganon.
Hmm…sounds like a pretty interesting story. The movie itself is actually done, and was slated for a Fall 2006 release, but the creators need just a little more time to finish up the CGI and then this little gem will be available for your viewing pleasure.
Check out the trailer after the break, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Ya think this can’t be done without major cash to get all the effects needed to do a decent Zelda movie. This looks pretty cheap!

Diego:
You have to understand this is completely fan made on their free time. If it was a serious production, then I’m sure it would look alot better.
It’s just like the Wii…graphics aren’t everything, story and gameplay are

It looks like the people involved in this project are obviously very into what they are doing because from what it shows there were many scenes in the trailer. However, two comments must made.
The first is that whoever is editing this film must be stopped now before it is too late. Every scene from the trailer had the same slow fade in and out to the next and it used the most cliche, horrible, “Requiem for a Dream” soundtrack music at the end. Trailer people have to stop using this and learn to listen to real soundtrack artists like Thomas Newman, Hans Zimmer, James Horner, or even Danny Elfman. Actually for something like this I would highly recommend James Newton Howard’s “The Village” soundtrack.
The second thing is that if your going to spend all that time and effort creating the vast amount of scenes you need for this movie, at least have the courtesy of recruiting older actors to play the older parts, and also have a better costume designer. Yes Link has a famous costume, but in the ral world, we simply cant take the bright colors seriously. This is where true creativity comes to play. I’ll still be waiting for a real Zelda movie to come along in the meantime. As far As I’m concerned, this is still a well planned, yet very mediocre job.

this movie is a disgrace to the legend of zelda! they better not ever show this to the public.I mean link looks really dumb in this movie. and zelda has brown hair in this! and link’s hugging people that does not happen! and there’s blood i mean there’s no blood! And i agree link is young in the beginning and what do they have an adult he’s not an adult until he gets the master sword!! these people obviously don’t know anything about the legend of zelda! i have more to say but i won’t
