Factor 5 gives finger to jolly ol’ England, doesn’t include analog with Euro Lair

Sad news, Europe — you’re getting the same Lair we got Stateside. In short, you’re getting an overly-hyped PS3 exclusive with broken controls but pretty cinematics and storytelling. Dutch website InsideGamer has been able to confirm that the European version of Lair will NOT feature analog controls. In fact, InsideGamer went so far as to say that the European Lair is exactly the same as the US release, and for that I do apologize in advance to all of Europe.
If you don’t remember, earlier this year Lair came under great scrutiny almost universally from reviewers and gamers alike who did not find the control scheme to Lair very appealing. In fact, in many reviews the controls were called anywhere from “awful”, to “abysmal”, to even “broken”. But, what would have simply been a bad game by a good developer turned into something for the ages as Factor 5 went so far as to say that the reviews were wrong, and that reviewers didn’t know how to play the game. They even went so far as to send a 22-page “how-to” guide to reviewers who, I assume, are cooler than us.
So, to all of you in Europe who were hoping that Factor 5 would have fixed Lair’s glaring problems… sorry.
