Expect more Guitar Hero Content coming up next month
Good news for Guitar Hero II fans! If Red Octane is to be believed, fans can expect to see more Xbox Live Marketplace content next month. The forum administrator on Guitar Hero II’s web site stated as much, asking posters to “look for something to come down the pipeline around the July timeframe”.
Those are all the details available at this point, though. . .

The XBOX 360 version is backed up some downloadable features. Three of the “Track Packs” feature songs ported over from the original version of Guitar Hero II for PS2. However, it is unclear if the next three song packs will also feature songs ported over from the old version. Activision, who owns Red Octane has declined to comment upon this.
A battle of the bands is predicted later this year, when the new developer for Guitar Hero (Neversoft) is pitted against their previously MTV aligned and recently EA aligned predecessors Harmonix. The latter’s Rock Band wants to expand their style of play to include drums and vocals along with bass and lead guitars, while maintaining the same musical base as Guitar Hero. Should be an interesting situation. . .
