Dragonball Online Making It’s Way To Xbox 360

Dragonball Online was announced a couple of days ago, but today’s big news is the fact that Dragonball Online is going to be making it’s way to the Xbox 360.
It seems that developer NTL has posted a job on Gamejob looking for a developers who have experience in developing MMOs as well as working on the Xbox 360. And oh yea, don’t forget the C++.
There has been no official confirmation straight from NTL on the possibility of an Xbox 360 version coming out, but this job posting is pretty much proof enough that everyone needs in order for this to be somewhat “confirmed”. As soon as we receive the official word, you can guarantee that I’ll put it up.

Am i the only one thinking this is gonna be poor?
All the gamers will look the same except their hair will be a different colour and they might be a different height.
There’s only so many combinations you can have before it gets boring.
Don’t get me wrong, i love DB as much as the enxt guy but what the hell is there left to do?
GT sucked major ass. There is no way they could ever come up with a decent running plot for this.
Meh, this had better be pulled off properly.

I as well am hoping that this game turns out good as well. I’m interested in seeing what the price points will be as well.
One thing that can make/break this game are the various special moves. I mean, a Kamehameha was the ultimate attack in the first few episodes of DBZ. I wonder if it’ll just be another attack move and not made to be as powerful attack as it should be.

it looks like a WoW mod

I find it hard to believe this will be on the 360. Its a korean game, and consoles are incredibly unpopular in korea (to say nothing of the 360), everyone plays computer games.

@comment 4:
saying that koreans dont play consoles is false. i live in korea and the 360, psp and (import) wii are doing very well. ps3’s are still a bit pricy for them though. my point is that although the national sport of korea seems to be starcraft (who the *uck even plays that anymore?), the console rate keeps rising. DS is actually catching up to the 360 out here and ps2 and psp are still hitting high numbers. secondly, DBonline is NOT a korean game. its a japanese game that is being beta tested in korea right now (which is really pissing off japanese gamers)and will be released in japan early 2008. im not trying to break your balls or anything. just fyi. personally im gonna try it out asap.

DBO will not be on 360. Akira Toriyama’s is this 360 game designer. he is also the creator of the dragonball series. MMORPG on 360 would be a waste. The Game is due to compete against Maplestory, WoW and Ragnarok. Having Dragon Ball online on 360 would have the following issues: Payment, you would have to pay for xbox live and a dragonball online subscription. and Why would people pay more on 360 when they can just buy the game on PC. Think about it. its not going to be on 360.

not on 360
January 28th, 2008 at 6:00 am
There’s already 1 mmorpg out on the 360, so I don’t see why another one wouldn’t come. You could pay off the fees with ms points. like 2000 points for 3 months or something like it
January 29th, 2008 at 1:26 pm
Umm, not all online games have a subscription fee Tom. If it’s released on the 360, it wouldn’t have to directly compete with Maplestory, Wow and/or Ragnarok.

Also, they posted a job ad, looking for a programmer with Xbox 360 programming experience.

Looks cool when did it come out like what date. is it really new?
March 28th, 2008 at 10:37 am
I was excited as well about hearing that this was new. When I checked the post date under the article, I saw that this game-online game- was released around April….of 2007.
Tom and Phunin have equally reasonable points from seperate directions. MMOs have not been known to come on both console and Pc fronts. Games like FinalFantasyXII and Fable have been on consoles, and have not had Pc counterparts; Just as games like Ragnarok have not had home console counterparts.
Now, to venture into my own point, I believe that Dragonball Online has a unique background that gives it potential to be groundbreaking to all online platforms. With fans and gamers alike to back it, the Dragonball series may be especially attractive to both 360 and Pc online communities. Not to mention equally profitable to both.

yeah man this game should be awsome! does anyon have any idea when it might come out on 360 or even in the us
March 16th, 2009 at 4:14 pm
Why not make it like guild wars were you dont have to pay monthly, or mbe just pay for the dragonballs or black star dragonballs instead
