Dragon Quest IX Coming To DS

Well, it seems Square Enix is getting a kick out of developing for the Nintendo DS. So much that they are developing the next installment of the Dragon Quest series for the DS.

Level 5 will be the developers for the game, who also developed the previous Dragon Quest XIII which earned huge acclaim from gamers everywhere. The new Dragon Quest IX will adopt an action-oriented battle system, which is a first for the series since the past installments have been turn-based, and will also have playable co-op up to four players via Wi-Fi.

Square Enix expects to release Dragon Quest IX sometime in 2007.
