Break From Gaming (Virginia Tech Shootings)
I just wanted to take a second and ask all of our faithful readers to take a quick break from gaming and think about the 32+ individuals who were murdered today in Blacksburg, Virginia. Some of you know that one of my jobs is working for the Virginia Tech Police Department. It’s been a very sad day here. I was going to add some more game related articles this evening, but I just do not feel like it right now. Please keep the victims in your thoughts. Our entire community here is also hurting deeply and this is a tragedy that none of us can really even understand.
Thanks everyone and I’m sorry to post a non-game article here, but it’s the only news that has affected me today.

My condolences to all of those who were effected by this tragedy. Today really is a dark day in American history and unfortunately, this is going to be another one of those things that will not be forgotten for a very long time.

well actually many people have already started to blame this on video game violence. I just don’t know what to say. 2 of my friends I have now found out are dead.. one was just a casual friend i talked to from time to time.. one was a close friend. this day has really grounded me and i just don’t know what to say.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in these difficult times. The loss of a close friend just makes it harder, and I can relate on that level. I just hope you can soldier through these darker moments in life to once again see the goodness in life.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hokienation and especially the victims and their families. My brother is an alum, so I’ve always kind of rooted for them and been a fan. God bless you all.
