Bioshock Limited Edition Priced & Exclusive To Where?

The Cult Of Rapture site was updated today with information concerning the Bioshock Limited Edition retail package. First off, here’s a rundown of what you get in the limited edition package.
- A Big Daddy Figurine (Sweeeeeeeet!)
- A “Making Of” DVD
- A Soundtrack CD
Now that you know what’s in the package, how much would you pay for all of that PLUS the actual game of Bioshock? $200? $149? Try only $59 for the PC version and $69 for the Xbox 360 version.
Actually, $59/$69 is pretty customary for limited edition retail packages nowadays. The one thing that comes as a huge surprise is where the limited edition versions of Bioshock can be purchased. It seems 2K has signed a deal with the devil themselves, Gamestop/EB Games. That’s right. In order for you to get your limited edition goodness, it seems your going to have to enter the pits of hell itself and plunk down your hard earned dollars at Gamestop/EB Games if you really want this limited edition.
As much as it pains me to do it, I just can’t pass up the opportunity to get my Big Daddy figurine.

The LE packaging will also be an embossed graphic designed by the winner of the Cover Art Contest going on now at www.cultofrapture.com.

I’d like to personally thank everyone who participated in signing the petition for the BioShock Limited Edition and those who voted about what should go inside the box. We had over 26,000 responses to our poll, and those votes were the deciding factor in what we choose to put in the Limited Edition. We wanted to make the package affordable, but valuable and special for everyone purchasing it, and I think we did just that.
I’ll be sure to post pictures of the packaging and goodies inside as they become available!
