BioShock Actually Makes Water Look Badass
When I first started this blog back in October, I never thought I’d actually be writing an article about a video on water effects in a game. But this game is different. This is BioShock and in case you forgot, water is literally everywhere no matter where you are.
The Cult of Rapture was updated today with a simple, yet beautiful video showcasing the different water effects that you will encounter when BioShock is finally released in August. Not only are the water effects amazing in this video, but there is also a pretty lengthy interview that discusses what actually went into creating the complexity of the water. Trust me, it’s worth the read.

BB, you would make Frankie of Bungie.net a proud man. An article on water. Never thought I’d be interested in one, but here I am, leaving a comment. I don’t know if it can de said about water or not, but that sh*t is Bad Ass !

lol @ somewhat. Frankie mentions water in almost any sentence in which he is talking about Halo 3. I swear when it comes out I better be picking my jaw up off the floor based on the water alone.

That’s just one more great step in the gaming industry. The water effects are incredible. Congrats to all the hard work in that game!

Stunning effects for sure. Am I to understand that this game will be made available for my Xbox?
Enjoy.

Wow. I hope this game comes to 360. I’m kinda confused why they are branding it as both cult of the rapture and as bioshock, was there a previous bioshock?

That’s some sweet lookng water. So much so I need to go pee.
For those wondering, Bishock IS coming out for the Xbox360 this Fall/early Winter.
And you’re right about Franky. But the thing is that Halo is not centered around water nowhere near as much as Bioshock. But with all of their talk about it, it should be jaw dropping

This is awesome, but still not perfect

@Michal: The only way it could improve is if water shoots out at you while your playing the game.

I’m disappointed in the caliber of tech fans represented here. It’s a very sad day in techdom when a middle aged guy has to make the first tubgirl reference.
Enjoy.
