A $400 40gb PS3? No Wai…

A tipster has told Technolgy enthusiast site ArsTechnica that we may be seeing a $400 40gb PlayStation 3 sku for the holidays.

We all know that Sony deserves a “Company with the most console Skus” award, but if this is true, everyone will probably be too excited to care. Details or specs for this cheap(er) console have not been released, but if Sony is planning on playing their cards right this time, it should have all of the hardware features as the 60gb and 80gb versions. Only time will tell, but if this is true, then the Wii may not be the only console that is nowhere to be found on store shelves, this holiday season.
